Uttar Pradesh: The Yogi government is in action after 6 Kanwariyas were crushed to death by a truck in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. Taking major steps to the incident, the Chief Minister has removed Hathras SP Vikas Vaidya. Now the command of Hathras has been given to DK Pandey in his place. SP Vikas Vaidya has been accused of negligence in the case following which he has been removed. In fact, all officers of the state were asked to be on alert by the Yogi government regarding the Kanwar Yatra, so the question arises as to how such a major incident happened even after the alert. Vikas Vaidya has now been posted to the post of PAC Commandant of the 39th Corps in Mirzapur.
6 Kanwariyas died after being hit by a truck
There was a major accident on the Agra-Aligarh highway in Hathras, UP. Here 6 Kanwariyas have died and around 7-8 people have been injured after being hit by a truck. A kanwariya told that he had food at the dhaba. Then a truck driver overpowered the people. These Kanwariyas were going to Gwalior. The statement of Rajiv Krishna, Additional Director General of Police, Agra Zone, Hathras has also come to the fore about this accident. He said, ‘A group of Kanwariyas were returning to Gwalior from Haridwar. Six kanwariyas have died in the accident and one is in critical condition. Action is being taken in the matter. Information has been received about the vehicle and very soon the accused will be nabbed.
Administration closed schools due to Kanwar Yatra
Let us tell you that the UP government and administration are quite shocked about the Kanwar Yatra. Schools and colleges have been closed in many districts of the state. The administration believes that the number of Kanwariyas on the roads is constantly increasing and in such a situation the devotees should not face any kind of problem. Recently, the DM in Hapur had ordered the closure of educational institutions from July 22 to 26. Apart from this, Moradabad DM Shailendra Kumar had also said that the educational institutions in Moradabad metropolis should be closed on July 25 and 26. According to media reports, schools have been closed due to Kanwariyas in many districts and Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut has also postponed the LLB assignment. Previously, this paper was to be held on July 19.
