Presidential election: The uprising has intensified around the presidential election. BJP presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu meets with leaders of various parties to vote for her support. According to sources, BJP President JP Nadda has arranged a dinner for all MPs on 16 July. Draupadi Murmu has been nominated by the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the presidential election. Many other parties, including the YSR Congress, Biju Janata Dal have decided to support him. In terms of statistics, it is believed that he will become president. If Murmu becomes president, she will be the first tribal and youngest president in the country.

Meanwhile, National Democratic Alliance (NDA) presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu reached his home state of Odisha on Friday to seek support for the July 18 election. Murmu (64), a native of the tribal-dominated Mayurbhanj district, was granted a ceremonial welcome at Biju Patnaik International Airport. BJP State President Sameer Mohanty and Reigning Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Vice President Devi Prasad Mishra as well as several other senior cross-party leaders were present at the airport to welcome Murmu.
