Odisha News: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda hit out at the Biju Janata Dal (BJD)-led Odisha government. He alleged that the state government has failed to fulfill the aspirations of the people. He also urged Odisha’s voters to oust the BJD from power in the state. Addressing a rally in Bhubaneswar, Nadda also alleged that there was corruption in various departments of the state government. “Rakshaks are the eaters in Odisha as at least three ministers have been found allegedly involved in separate murder cases,” he said.

Corruption in the implementation of schemes

The BJP president alleged, “There has been corruption in the implementation of PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana), MNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme) and other schemes in Odisha.” Alleging bad governance under BJD’s rule, he claimed that the people of Odisha have to take their relatives to the hospital on cycle. Nadda said it is unfortunate for a democracy like India that most of the national parties have been reduced to regional parties. He claimed that BJP is the only national party and has regional ambitions.

‘Congress Brother Sister Party’

The BJP president said, “It is unfortunate that all national parties have been reduced to regional parties. As the largest political party in the world, BJP is now fighting against the parties who are doing family politics in various states. He said, “Congress is no longer a national or regional party. It has now become a celebration of ‘brother and sister’.” Nadda said the Congress’ stand was that in most of the assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, the security of its candidates had been forfeited. He said, “Odisha is definitely ruled by Biju Patnaik’s family. But Shiv Sena in Maharashtra is breaking free from ‘family raj’.”
