One terrorist was killed during the encounter, the official said. During this, a security force was also injured.

A few days ago, three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were gunned down by security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. A police official said the security forces launched a cordon and search operation after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the Nagbal area of ​​Shopian. An encounter broke out during the operation in which three terrorists were killed by the security forces.

A police spokesman said the slain terrorists were associated with the banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. The search operation is still ongoing. Kashmir Director General of Police Vijay Kumar tweeted: “The three terrorists killed have been identified as Danish Khurshid Bhat, Tanveer Wani and Tauseef Bhat of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
