Himachal Pradesh: A major accident has occurred in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. Here a private bus has fallen into the ditch. 16 people are reported dead in this accident, including school children. The death toll could also rise. Rescue operation is underway. DC Kullu Ashutosh Garg told that the private bus was going from Kullu to Nioli-Shansher Road in Sainj Valley. The incident happened around 8 a.m. in the morning. The injured are being taken to local hospitals.
According to media reports, 45 people were on board the bus. When this bus reached the place called Jungla, it became uncontrollable and fell into the ditch. Kullu SP Gurdev Sharma says he has been given information about the accident. The police team has been sent to the scene.
CM Jairam expressed grief
The statement of CM Jai Ram Thakur has also come to the fore about this incident. He said: ‘The sad news was received about the accident by a private bus in the Sainj Valley in Kullu. The entire administration is on site, the injured are being driven to the hospital. May God rest the souls of the deceased in this event and give strength to the bereaved families. I pray to God that at least one person will be hurt.
Prime Minister Modi also expressed grief and announced compensation
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed grief over the incident and announced an ex-gratial of Rs 2 lakh each from PMNRF to the relatives of those who lost their lives due to the tragic bus accident in Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, Rs 50,000 will be given to each of the wounded.
The accident happened even 10 days ago
The deceased could not yet be identified. Let us inform you that about 10 days ago at least 28 people were injured when a pickup vehicle fell into a ravine in the Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. Nine of them were in critical condition and were referred to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital.
