On the other hand, Baria Udesingh Mohanbhai had a major defeat from the Congress. He got 31.6 percent of the vote. Parmar has won this seat since 2002. He was elected MLA for the first time in 2002 itself. At the same time, he has also taken over the post of Education Minister in the state. Due to the influence of Jaydrathsinh Chandrasinh Parmar, this seat is debated all over Gujarat.
