“I will remain in NDA as long as I am in politics”
The Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party leader said the decision to support the BJP was taken at the meeting. He said the decision to enter into an alliance with the BJP was taken in 2014 under the leadership of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) founder and veteran Dalit leader Ram Vilas Paswan and his party would stick to this decision. Paras said, “It is impossible to find a leader like Modi. He is the need of the country. As long as I do politics, I will remain in NDA.” Let us tell you that his LJP party has five members in the Lok Sabha.
Why is this decision of Paras Paswan important?
Ram Vilas Paswan’s younger brother Paras Paswan’s decision assumes significance as he had split the LJP against Chirag Paswan’s leadership and had the support of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party JDU. Let us tell you that Kumar was unhappy with Chirag Paswan’s decision to field a candidate against his party in the 2020 assembly elections.
