- Asaduddin Owaisi remembers the martyrdom of Muslims in freedom
- “Muslims sacrificed the most for the country’s freedom”
- “Jai Hind was not given by Savarkar or Godse but by Abid Hasan”
The completion of 75 years of the country’s independence is celebrated by associating it with Amrit. While names like Amrit Mahotsav and Amrit Kaal are being taken, on the other hand, some leaders are giving declarations of doing religious politics for these 75 years. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi today divided the martyrs into Hindus and Muslims. Owaisi said Muslims sacrificed the most for the country’s independence and today only Muslims are asked to prove their loyalty.
“Muslims are the most vulnerable in the country”
AIMIM President Asaduddin Owais, while addressing a public meeting in Hyderabad on Friday, spoke about the contribution of Muslims to India’s independence. He said Muslims are the most vulnerable in the country at the moment. Referring to Muslim freedom fighters, Owaisi said the army chief and artillery chief of the Rani of Jhansi were Muslims. Referring to the story of Duck Miyan, Owaisi said that he had saved Gandhiji from consuming poison, but Godse had fired a bullet into Gandhi’s chest. During a program in Jalsa, Hyderabad, Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi in his speech said that the freedom given to cow protectors in the country should not be given. We hope that the Prime Minister will mention the country’s problems in his Red Fort speech.
“Siraj-ud-daula, Gandhiji laid the foundation of freedom”
Owaisi further said in his speech that Muslims also have a contribution in the history of independence. Addressing a public meeting in Hyderabad, Owaisi further said that while the entire country is celebrating the 75th year of independence, on the other hand, the fascist forces are trying to change history. These forces want to erase the bloodshed of Muslims in the struggle for freedom recorded in history. But I want to tell them that the contribution of the people of our religion is no less than any other in the freedom struggle. Owaisi said that the slogan of Jai Hind was not given by Savarkar or Godse but by Abid Hasan, he said that the foundation of freedom was laid by great people like Sirajuddaula, Gandhiji and Netaji and not by Godse or Savarkar.
“The Prime Minister will not mention in his speech”
Owaisi also took a jibe at Prime Minister Modi and said that if Narendra Modi will address the country from the ramparts of Red Fort on August 15, he will mention the people of the country, will also mention the freedom fighters, but will not talk about the Muslims. He said we hope PM Modi will mention the country’s problems in his speech at Red Fort.
