Amarnath Yatra: Amarnatha Yatra, who was stopped due to cloudburst last Friday, has resumed. After stopping in Jammu, a new group of Amarnath pilgrims have left Jammu base camp. From Nunwan base camp on the Pahalgam route, a group of Amarnath pilgrims have been sent to the sacred cave. According to the Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, the yatra will be launched on the same route from Monday, but helicopter service will be available from both the Nunwan and Baltal routes. Meanwhile, pilgrims registered in the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu have also been asked to arrive on July 11th. On the other hand, Jammu Deputy Commissioner Avani Lavasa said the yatra is being resumed. For this, the registered passengers have been asked to reach Yatri Niwas.

Enthusiastic about the beginning of the yatra, devotees said: ‘We have come from our home with a promise that we will not go home without visiting Bholenath. We had come here to see Baba, but this accident happened. The government has started yatra from today, we are very happy.

Rescue work continues, search is underway for missing pilgrims

Meanwhile, relief and rescue operations are underway near Amarnath Cave. Many people were washed away in the sudden flooding due to cloudburst on Friday night. 16 people died in the accident, 65 are injured. Many people are still said to be missing if the search is ongoing.

Let us inform you that on Friday, due to the influx of Amarnath, water entered the base camp outside the sanctuary. Rapid relief work was started after this disaster. Captured people were rescued, missing persons were found. A lot of trouble was met due to the rain again in the middle of the relief and rescue work, but due to the tireless efforts of the security staff, many people were rescued out of trouble.

Many pilgrims’ lives were saved by helicopter

In this incident, 25 tents and three communal kitchens were damaged. Six pilgrims were rescued by helicopter Saturday morning. The patients were taken to Nilagarar helicopter site. The medical team is fully prepared during the relief and rescue operations.
