In the next over, Teekshana was hit for a four to take the score to 44 runs after six overs of the powerplay.
Leg-spinners Wanindu Hasaranga and Karunaratne bowled some economical overs which prevented Rohit and Surya from scoring runs. Meanwhile, Rohit came to life at extra cover off Hasranga’s delivery on a personal score of 40. Surya hit the first boundary after playing 12 balls. He also hit Madhushanka for a six, while Rohit then hit a four and a six again after hitting Hasranga for a six. Karunaratne dismissed Rohit in the next over. Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant 17. Got out after scoring 17 runs. Deepak Hooda could also score only three runs.
