New Delhi. Former batting great Sunil Gavaskar has said that Suryakumar Yadav has become the new Mr 360 degrees and if he fails, India will struggle to score enough runs. In the last Super 12 match against Zimbabwe, Surya scored an unbeaten 61 off 25 balls. Gavaskar said, “In each of those innings, he scored 360 degrees. That’s the new Mr. 360 degrees. He hit a six from the wicketkeeper’s left, which was brilliant. In the last overs, he took advantage of the bowler’s angle and played shots. He played also straight drive.

The former India captain believes that it is because of Suryakumar that India are able to put up a decent score. Gavaskar said: “He is really becoming one to take India to a defendable score. The runs scored by India is the highest score in a T20 International at the MCG. Without his unbeaten 61, India would not have reached 150 runs . Gavaskar said that if Suryakumar fails, Rahul will have to take charge. He said, “If Surya fails, then India will also have to struggle to score 140-150 runs, so it is very important that Rahul takes charge. ” Captain Rohit Sharma is also struggling for form and only 89 in five matches. Has been able to score runs including an innings of 53 runs against Holland.
