United Kisan Morcha leaders held a meeting on Sunday and discussed about 10 agendas in which apart from the promises made by the government, various issues were discussed. The Morcha has announced to hand over the demand letter to MPs and MLAs across the country on September 26. On October 3, after the completion of a year after the death of four farmers and a journalist from Lakhimpur, SKM will pay tribute to farmers and journalists across the country along with Union Home Minister Ajay Mishra Taini’s still acting minister, to the innocent farmers Will protest against being kept in jail and refusing to promise financial help and jobs to the victim’s family in the incident. In this demonstration the peasants will show their anger through all the central government activities like extracting money, burning effigies.
Apart from this, on November 26, the Delhi Front will also hold protests in front of the Raj Bhavan in all the state capitals on the one-year anniversary of the demand for withdrawal of the three farm laws. In this Morcha meeting, it was also said to add some new issues and demands, among which the Morcha has decided that the demands of farmers’ loan waiver, agricultural insurance and farmers’ pension are included in the charter of demands for SKM.
Yogendra Yadav resigns from United Kisan Morcha Coordination Committee
Yogendra Yadav has resigned from the United Kisan Morcha Coordination Committee. At this time, the reason for the termination is not clear. However, he said he would continue to be a “sepoy” of the Morcha. SKM announced Yadav’s resignation during a press conference on Sunday. Yadav has said in the letter that he will no longer be in the coordination committee of SKM.
