In this episode Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has given a big statement about the whole matter. Narottam Mishra has clearly said that no one stopped actor Ranbir Kapoor and his wife actress Alia Bhatt from visiting the Mahakaleshwar temple. Further, Narottam Mishra claimed that he himself decided not to visit the temple due to violent protests. It is said that there was a protest by Hindu organizations against the alleged comments made by Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt about eating beef and watching Brahmastra. Due to this protest, both artists could not visit the Mahakal temple. Narottam Mishra has said about this that actors and actresses should stay away from making such comments which hurt people’s sentiments.

The situation near the Mahakal temple was such that the police resorted to lathi charge to disperse the protesters. However, it is clearly stated by the government that no one has stopped Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt from going to the temple. Due to the protest, both artists decided not to go to the temple on their own. The administration also claims that other people who accompanied both artists prayed and arranged for everyone. Bajrang Dal workers started shouting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ as soon as Ranbir and Alia reached the temple for darshan.
