New Delhi. From Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has been absent on social media, to Australian opener David Warner, many players have wished and wished India on its 76th Independence Day on Monday. Dhoni, one of India’s most successful captains, keeps his distance from social media, but on the occasion of Independence Day, he changed his picture on Instagram for the first time in the last two years. He posed with the tricolor and wrote the caption in Sanskrit.

Dhoni, the only Indian captain to win all three major ICC trophies, wrote: “Blessed Asmi Bharatven”. He has also given his Hindi and English translation together. Dhoni wrote: “Happiness is mine, I am an Indian.” Former Indian captain and Dhoni’s fan Virat Kohli also changed his picture on Twitter after this and put the tricolor in it. He wrote: “75 glorious years. Proud to be an Indian. Happy Independence Day to all. Jai Hind.” India celebrates Amrit Mahotsav’s independence after completion of 75 years of independence. Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag wished independence day by tweeting in his special style in Hindi. Sehwag wrote, “Don’t ask time if I have a history, our identity is only , that we are Hindustanis. Every action will be taken, a country has given a heart to you… Jaan bhi will give, O country for you!! Many many wishes to you all on Independence Day.” Sehwag has also posted a picture of himself making the tricolor. Under it, he has given the caption “Sare Jahan Se Achcha Hindostan Hamara.” Australian players also wished India on the occasion.

Former Australian women’s team captain and Pune-born Lisa Sthalekar also extended her best wishes on the occasion. Build a bright future.” Former England captain Kevin Pietersen has also wished India a happy Independence Day, Pietersen tweeted in Hindi, “Make India proud and stand tall. You create a better tomorrow for everyone. Other players also wished happy independence day.
