Indian batsman Robin Uthappa on Wednesday announced his retirement from all forms of Indian cricket. The batsman, who last represented Team India in 2015, took to social media to make the announcement through a letter. Uthappa shared a post announcing his retirement from all forms of cricket on the Ku app. The right-handed batsman said it has been the “greatest honour” to represent India and Karnataka during this illustrious career.

Speaking on the Ku app, Uthappa said that it has been the greatest honor for me to represent my country and my state, Karnataka. However, all good things must come to an end and with a grateful heart I have decided to retire from all forms of Indian cricket. Thank you, everybody.

Let us tell you that Uthappa is known for his aggressive batting. Uthappa did very well in the Indian Premier League. He was a major contributor behind the success of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2014. At the same time, he has 249 runs to his name in T20 International. Uthappa has scored a fifty in this format. Playing for Team India, his highest score has also been 50 runs.
