- Former Prime Ministers used to spar in a convoy of 33 cars
- Convoy of luxury cars increased from 33 cars to 42
- The Congress leader of the opposition also accused Mann
Punjab News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has now become a VVIP. The reason for the change from ‘Mango’ to ‘Khas’ is that now 42 luxury cars will drive in his convoy. He has even surpassed his former chief ministers in this matter. Only 33 cars used to ply in the convoy of former CM Parkash Singh Bad and Captain Amarinder Singh. The same Bhagwant Mann sometimes used to spar the convoy of 33 cars of his former chief ministers. Now he has increased his convoy of luxury cars from 33 cars to 42.
On this resolution, the opposition parties have also started their siege.
The Congress leader of the opposition also accused Mann
Leader of Opposition Congress Pratap Singh Bajwa has made allegations by tweeting. Retweeting his tweet, Sukhpal Khaira wrote that Bhagwant Mann used to mock politicians in the past saying that those who want extra security “why don’t they do things like open chicken feed”. Now the same ‘ordinary man’ has started to feel the need for 42 cars.
Mann was taken off the plane under the influence of alcohol
Recently, Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal had made a tweet about Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann. Whereupon there was an outcry. Badal had tweeted that ‘Media reports quoting fellow passengers said that Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann was deboarded from the Lufthansa flight as he was very drunk and not even going. Because of this the flight was delayed by 4 hours. Such reports embarrass Punjabis. After the tweet by Sukhbir Singh Badal, the debate in the political corridors had intensified whether Bhagwant Mann was really drunk. Badal had also said that it is surprising that the Punjab government is silent on these reports. Arvind Kejriwal should be aware of this issue. But later the Aam Aadmi Party while clarifying this issue denied that Bhagwant Mann was drunk.
There was a dispute in Jalandhar even before Mann’s visit
Earlier in August, Bhagwant Mann had come into limelight when Khalistani slogans were written on the posters before his visit to the Punjab city of Jalandhar. SHO Jalandhar Kamaljeet had said, ‘We are checking the surrounding CCTV cameras.’ According to media reports, the police reached the spot and erased the slogan written in spray paint and started investigating the accused by checking the CCTV installed around Constitution Chowk.
In fact, a day before the visit of Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, slogans were raised in support of the terrorist organization ‘Khalistan’ in Jalandhar. Earlier on July 6, a person from Patiala was arrested by the Karnal police for supporting Khalistan. The man was accused of writing pro-Khalistan slogans on the wall.
