News in Uttar Pradesh: A massive fire broke out at a hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra on Wednesday morning, killing three people, including a doctor, in the incident. Police said the doctor and his son and daughter, who lived on the second floor of the hospital, died in the fire. He said the doctor’s wife and another son were admitted to hospital where their condition was critical. He said the deceased has been identified as Dr. Rajan Singh, the operator of the hospital, his son Rishi and daughter Shalu. He told that Dr. Singh lived with his family on the second floor of the hospital building.
The police stated that as soon as the information about the fire was received, the police and fire brigade reached the spot and immediately started extinguishing the fire. He said firefighters were putting out the fire as well as evacuating people trapped in the hospital and also rescued four people from the spot. The fire department said that after receiving information that the doctor and his family were trapped on the second floor, the fire department tried to rescue them, but by then they had come under fire, which led to their death.
After getting information about the incident, senior police and administrative officials reached the spot and the patients were taken out and sent to other hospitals. He said the cause of the fire is not yet known. Police Inspector Jasveer Singh Sirohi of Shahganj police station said four people were taken out of the hospital in critical condition and admitted to a private hospital.
